This giant wall sucks CO2 out of the air!

Wind wall's could become a 'thing'!

Invented by Canadian company Carbon Engineering, the aim of the wall is to draw carbon dioxide out of the air and convert it to energy. The company hope to build such walls where regrowth of trees isn't possible, such as deserts.

Air flows through a series of fans, which then feed into a carbon dioxide rich solution, helping pluck carbon compounds from the air. The solution is then purified, at which point Carbon Engineering extracts the carbon dioxide for reuse or disposal in underground facilities. The solution is re-purified in the process, thus enabling it to be reused as energy.
