For the last decade, Veronika Richterová has used various methods of cutting, heating, and assemblage of plastic PET bottles to build colourfully translucent sculptural forms of everything from quirky looking plants to crocodiles.
The artist states on her website that since 2004 she has used thousands of bottles and has created hundreds of different objects. For Richterová repurposing plastic bottles has become somewhat of an artistic obsession.
Her plant sculptures certainly are captivating, and quite unique.
This is an example of creative recycling at its best. Enjoy!
