Maya Penn, 14 years old and changing the world!

After starting her first company when she was 8 years old, Maya Penn has a mountain of amazing accomplishments under her belt at just 14.

Maya is a philanthropist, environmental activist, entrepreneur, eco-designer, inspirational speaker, artist, animator, coder, illustrator, and writer. Maya started her eco-fashion line, Maya's Ideas when she was just 8 years old. Maya's Ideas features eco-friendly clothing and accessories. Through this she also sends eco-friendly sanitary pads to girls in developing countries, as part of a partnership with MedShare . Is your jaw hitting the floor yet? I don't know about you but when I was 8, I used to pretend I was a cat and make my parents feed me out of cat bowls served on the floor.

The creations of Maya's non-for-profit organisation followed. 'Maya's Ideas 4 The Planet' aims to spread environmental awareness and encourage young girls to follow their dreams in non-traditional fields.

A big part of Maya's Ideas 4 The Planet is their Save the Bees Campaign. Below is a t-shirt designed by Maya called the 'Bee a Hero' shirt. Proceeds from the Bee a Hero shirt go to buying pesticide free native plants to plant in Georgia for bees to pollinate.
