Pets, although we absolutely adore them, can cost us a lot of money to keep happy and healthy. Over the counter medicine for your pets can cost a lot and also come in synthetic packaging which will ended up in landfill, not to mentions the chemicals that are exuded into the atmosphere during the production process!

Try these natural home remedies that will make your pets happier, your waste less and will save you money!

Citrus solution- Flea’s hate citrus. Give your pet a light lemon or orange wash, this will repel the fleas.

Water is magic- Along with the very many other reasons why water is amazing, it is also the simplest way to get rid of flea’s. Wash your pet regularly in water, with a little bit of shampoo. The flea’s will be washed away!

Rose Geranium for dogs- This is specific for dogs, so don’t try it for your cat. Rose geranium essential oil is useful repelling ticks; apply a few dabs to your dog’s collar

Chamomile tea- Chamomile tea reduces skin irritations. Make some chamomile tea, put it in a spray bottle in the refrigerator, and apply it to your pet’s raw skin. A warm chamomile tea bag can also relieve sore eyes, if your pets eyes seem irritated.

Vitamin E Oil- To heal your dog’s dry skin try applying Vitamin E oil to the affected areas

Canned Pumpkin: Pumpkin is actually a great way to assist your pet’s digestion, on those trickier days.  Just add a tablespoon or two to your pet’s food.
