Calculate the environmental benefits of reducing your meat consumption

You might have heard before that choosing a mainly plant-based diet is a great way to reduce your impact on the planet, but how can we actually MEASURE that impact?

The VegEffect Calculator is a free tool that allows you to see the impact of switching even just one meal per week to a plant-based option.

The calculator was developed by MorningStar Farms in collaboration with Quantis Consulting, and is based on a study comparing the environmental impact of veggie meals, meat-containing meals, and some of our own products across water use, greenhouse gas emission and land use.

Hopefully, by showing people the real savings that they can make for the planet, we'll see a growing community of plant-eaters trying to make a positive difference!
