“All I’ve ever wanted is a son who joins Earth Club!”
There's nothing wrong with loving sports, but imagine if we all cared about the environment as much as some people care about sports, the world could be a vastly different place.
This lighthearted video puts anti-fracking laws and Al Gore on par with conversions and Jonah Lomu. We love it!
Enjoy.
Take a global challenge like climate change, just last year a new analysis of data collected from 119 countries in 2007 and 2008 for the Gallup World Poll found that worldwide, 40 percent of adults have never heard of climate change.
Now, if data was collected around the world on if people had heard of David Beckham or Christiana Ronaldo, we could probably expect very different results.
That's just hypothetical, yet it's clear there's a disconnect in values and perhaps if we poured the same amount of money into the environment as goes into the sporting industry (The sports market in North America alone was worth $60.5 billion in 2014) things would be different.
