How the 1 Million Women community will reduce their impact on the planet in 2016

We asked our community what more they will do in 2016 to lower their impact on the planet.

Here's just some of the awesome answers we received through Twitter and Facebook.

"Mine is to think very carefully before I buy anything new, do I really need it or love it? Most of the time the answer is no. And when I do buy things, to look more critically at the sourcing."
- Felicity Dwyer
"My #ClimateAction goal for 2016 is... to buy 'slow food' and reduce my carbon footprint"
- @NannaAnnaB
"For 2016, I will bicycle to commute whenever, wherever possible and encourage other women to take up cycling. Bicycling has been a personal initiative this far, but this Saturday, together with another bicyclist, I will be teaching other women to cycle. Pedal on!"
- Rebecca Borg
"My #ClimateAction goal for 2016 is... to stop using plastic bags entirely and to grow my own herbs!"
- Anthea Batsakis
"No more pre-made sauces in plastic or glass bottles - I'll get back to making my own from scratch - they taste better and you're not having to throw out empty bottles every time you want a curry."
- Jennifer Ellem
"My #ClimateAction goal for 2016 is spreading the word about the importance of carbon pricing and a tax on carbon."
- @schellhor
" I have started the year being vegetarian and I will reduce my meat intake to a fraction of what it used to be, to help cut back on cattle farming emissions, which from my newly learned understanding, is a far greater threat to the earth than other emissions people are concerned with."
- Just Disputes
"My #ClimateAction goal for 2016 is... save energy, and be an active voice for recycling the waste as mush as possible."
- @sadisociologist
"Plant more trees, use no plastics, recycle old clothing, unpick, remake, give more, use less."
- Soph Joz Ellul Ridder
"My #ClimateAction goal for 2016 is not to eat meat. That's the #1"
- @JoyofYum
"Waste less food!"
- Eden Braun-Behan
"Grow more vegetable seedlings than I need this spring and put them on our Transition Plant Swap stall. A number of people benefitted from our swaps last year, or bought our plants very cheaply. Many local charities benefitted!"
- Tessa Hamilton
"My #ClimateAction goal for 2016 is changing to wind energy - and I just did!"
- @AmandaNilssonDK
