Harris Farm Markets raise the stakes with Imperfect Picks

A huge congratulations to Harris Farm Markets for joining the battle to reduce food waste!

Wasting food costs you money and harms our environment. When food produced for people doesn’t get eaten, all the value of the land, water, nutrients, energy, transport and other items is diminished or lost. The impact of this wastage is great, yet the solutions are so simple.

Following the huge success of French supermarket, Intermarché and their Inglorious Fruit and Vegetables campaign, many stores are now highlighting and reducing "imperfect produce" - of which a large portion would have previously been thrown away.

Reduce wasting food by managing it better every day

Estimated CO2 Saving: 8kg per month (100kg per year)

Up to 30% of food we buy is wasted, at an estimated national cost of $5 billion-plus a year. Cut down on waste by not letting food go out of date, avoiding over-catering and looking after any leftovers.

Harris Farm is the latest Australian chain to join the battle with their new campaign, Imperfect Picks.
