After searching for many different versions of "Toilet Bomb" recipes online, I decided to experiment with my own variants. I think I have finally found the combination that I like the most. This recipe is primarily baking soda and citric acid with essential oils. However, to give this cleaning power, I decided to add borax as well. This last batch has been the one I was most pleased with, including the form factor.
The quantities given in this recipe will allow you to make about 2 dozen "muffin cakes" if you use a mini muffin pan.
You will need:
2 Cups Baking Soda
1 Cup Citric Acid
1 Cup 20 Mule Team Borax
Essential Oils (I used a combination of Tea Tree Oil and Citrus essential oils: Lemon, Lime, Orange, and Grapefruit)
Water in a spray bottle
Mini muffin tray (you could also use an ice tray)
Method:
Step 1
Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl
Step 2
Add small amounts of water using your spray bottle until mixture forms a thick paste
Step 3
Scoop mixture into muffin tin and gently pack each tablet down
Step 4
Let dry overnight and then you're done!
