Major Partners
Environment Protection Authority Victoria
![]() |
EPA's purpose is to protect, care for and improve the environment. Its vision is the Victorian community living sustainably. A community living sustainably knows the impact of the decisions it makes and the actions it takes on the environment.
Climate change is one of the greatest challenges facing society today. EPA believes it can also be one of the greatest opportunities.
Immediate and sustained action is needed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and prepare for the impacts of climate change. All Victorians can play an important part in contributing to this action, which will help our environment and our economy. This requires shifts in our behavior and the way we use our natural resources. We must be flexible and able to respond quickly to opportunities as they arise.
In participating in the 1 Million Women campaign, EPA is helping its staff and wider networks respond to climate change on a personal level – complimenting its efforts in business.

NSW Government
![]() |
Because we recognise global warming is a serious environmental, economic and social threat to both our state and our world, the NSW Government has been working hard to progress important national reforms as well as establishing a framework for action through the NSW State Plan, committing us to a return to year 2000 greenhouse gas emission levels by 2025 and a 60 per cent cut in greenhouse emissions by 2050. We have undertaken extensive consultation across NSW to develop the state’s Climate Change Action plan, to be released later this year and we have established the Climate Change Fund and the NSW Energy Efficiency Strategy to provide financial support for communities, schools and business to tackle climate change. Reducing our energy use will also be a key action to help reduce our carbon pollution. To find out more about our programs to help households, businesses and public facilities to lower power bills and reduce their impact on the environment, visit www.savepower.nsw.gov.au
