The IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) is holding its World Parks Congress in Sydney this year from 12th to 17th November. It’s a prestigious global gathering that only comes around once every 10 years.

1 Million Women is holding a very special event at the Congress on the 14th November. This event is to explore 'Youths expression of climate change'. It's a unique opportunity for our 1 Million Women young participants.

So calling all young women - we'd love to have you involved!

THE COMPETITION

How do you feel about climate change? What does it mean to you?

We want young women of high school age to submit a short creative piece (maximum of 3 minutes), which explores ‘youth expression of climate change’.

The creative piece can be any one of the following -

a SONG, DANCE, POEM, MONOLOGUE, SHORT SKIT OR FILM, AN ARTWORK… OR ANYTHING that can visually communicate climate change through the eyes and heart of young women.

HOW TO ENTER?

Send us a video of you performing or presenting your entry (3 minutes max) or if you are submitting an artwork or other visual piece, simply take a photo of it.

Your piece can embrace the challenges we face or it can be a positive inspiration for acting. It can be anything you want that captures how you feel about climate change.

Entries can either be submitted by individual students or it can be a duo piece (maximum of two students performing together).
