Buy certified green cleaners for your workplace

Use cleaning products without substances and chemicals in them that are detrimental to our health and to the environments....

Last week we gave you some ideas on how to make your own DIY green cleaners for your office using simple everyday ingredients.

We know, however, that this option is not possible for everybody in their place of work. Don't fear, there are other options to make the cleaning processes in your workplace more sustainable.

Unfortunately, most commercial cleaning products are full of toxic substances which makes them hazardous for people and the environment. But, it's easy to take action on this!

If you control the buying of cleaning products at work, for example, then make sure to buy Eco-certified ones. If this is not under your control, then lobby together with other staff for better a cleaning practice to be implemented where only non-toxic and Eco-certified products are used, or green cleaning companies (of which there are countless these days).

Eco Office Supplies , for example, sells a range of natural cleaning supplies which come in a concentrated form. This is great as it means you can add your own water to the products, and re-fill and re-use spray bottles over and over, instead of buying the typically pre-diluted products containing chemicals with single use containers.

Natural cleaning products clean just as powerfully as the toxic cleaning products which many workplaces use, and you can find a range of products for commercial and industrial use that are certified as environmentally friendly by Good Environmental Choice Australia – Australia’s peak green certification body. You can also search their site for green cleaning companies too.

No matter what kind of workplace or space you have, these changes can make a huge difference to your environmental impact on the planet.
